Check Inn Dumaguete City, A Place to Stay in the City

8-hours road trip plus 4-hours RORO ride, give a go on anyone’s energy. Check Inn in Dumaguete City is the perfect respite for our tired bodies. On this trip, I didn’t make any reservation for a place to stay. On our way to Dumaguete City via Montenegro Shipping Lines, I tried to contact a few places to stay and must of them were fully booked and required initial reservations. Because we are travelling with our parents, a finding a decent place to stay is a must, Sissy recommended that I try calling Check Inn as they have tried staying for a few days there.20180406_044900

I called and made a 6:00 P.M. reservation, even in a short notice they were so pleasant and accommodating in taking a reservation. We had a family suite for Php 2,500.00 that can accommodate a maximum of 5 persons. We just paid for an extra person with beddings for only Php 250.00.

We arrived in Dumaguete City past 6:30 P.M. I texted to inform them that we might check-in later than our initial 6:00 P.M., they were nice enough to tell me that they will have it reserve for us.

We just checked-in and went to look for a place to eat. Check Inn is located at Dr. V. Locsin St. Dumaguete City, making it a convenient place to stay in Dumaguete City. It is about 2 blocks away from Rizal Boulevard, and within its vicinity are places that you can eat in.

The family suite, is very spacious that it can even accommodate up to ten persons. It has 2 single beds and one matrimonial bed, with a small space for a sofa and table. Toilet and bath have hot and cold shower, and very clean, they provided toiletries for all 6 of us.

We did have a very relaxing and restful stay in Check Inn, giving us enough energy for another day of road trip in the island of Negros.

I highly recommend this place, and they do give “senior citizen” discounts. In our stay we just paid Php 2,110.00, this includes two bottled water. I you try computing how we paid for per person, it is around Php 352.00 per person, a very affordable way to get a very relaxing stay in the city. It is an added bonus to the place that the staffs were very pleasant and accommodating.

Check Inn stays true to its tagline as “Your Home in the Heart of the City.”
